After seventeen years of faithful service Bill Mahaffy has retired from the position of maticarrier for Rural Route No.l, Blackatock, due to poor health. Speaking of retirements, three of our long term teacher* are putting ■way their books at the end of June. There will bee retirement Tee on Monday afternoon June 15,3-6 p.m. ■t C.C.P.S. In honour of Mrs. Gwenyth Thompson, Mrs. Jessie Gunter and Mrs. Kathleen Dorrell. All friends are welcome to attend this special occasion. Congratulation» to Pat and Doug Sleep on the arrival of a second grandchild - another daughter for Bryan and Gail Sleep. On Thursday evening, June 4 at 8 p.m. the Women's Institute will hold a meeting open to the public at the Town Hall. The special speaker will be Kathryn Station Overly who will tell of her experiences while backpacking backpacking through Europe and Middle East. Sounds like an Interesting meeting.
