Ed Schamerhorn and his wife : Marilyn Sunday morning. While he was conducting the service, the Sunday School room was a hive of activity as workers prepared a celebration to mark the couple's 25th wedding anniversary. Officially, it won't take place until. August, but they'll be on holidays then, so it was held just a trifle early. Relatives had been informed and were present to participate. While attending this program program she was selected by a panel to be a "stand-in" for actress Monica Parker, who, though the movie is being made in Toronto, is currently in another country country doing other work. She was quite thrilled to be on the same set and within arms-length of Burt Reynolds, (she actually tramped on his foot, by accident accident -- or so she claims) who is the star of the show. Also present on the set were Loni Anderson, Kathleen Turner and Christopher Reeve. As to be expected, Liz got a real thrill out of being in such close proximity proximity to such renowned actors and actresses. CNIB Advisory Board Holds Picnic for Durham's Blind The Durham Region Advisory Advisory Board of the Canadian National Insitute for the Blind was to hold a picnic at the Lakeview Park, Oshawa, on Monday, June 29 at 12 noon. This annual event provides an opportunity for blind and visually impaired residents of the Durham area to meet socially and enjoy an afternoon afternoon of outdoor entertainment and activity.
