Sehrday and Monday went off smoothly as scheduled. A sincere thank you to all who participated in the draw. Social items Of Interest Lawrence and Gwen Malcolm, Neetleton, enjoyed their trip to Stratford... Tues, to Friday. They saw "Othello" and "Cabaret" at the Festival Theatre, and were overnight overnight guests with son Barry and wife Joan of Simcoe. An interesting visit With Gwen's Uncle and Aunt, Mr. and Mrs. John Amot Van Nest of Brantford was a part of their trip. Saturday afternoon guests of Lawrence and Gwen Malcolm were Mrs. Velma Sinclair of Emmeraon's Beech and Mrs. Kay Wilson of Stetler, Alberta. Roy and Doris Nottingham of Caesarea, spent last week camping at Hooey Harbour with Nancy Nottingham Nottingham Reid and husband Greg and boys...and at Owen Sound with Ralph and Diane Nottingham it Jeffrey. •Roy and Doris Nottingham recently entertained Nancy Nottingham Nottingham Reid and her friend Rosemary Pace and her mother Mary Naylor of Lindsay. Rosemary has just returned from teaching in Japan for several years...and she and her husband are now leaving for Korea where they have accepted teaching positions. K.C.A.T. Graduate Karen Arnold Karen Arnold daughter of Leverne and Beverley Arnold Arnold of Port Hope graduated from Kemptville College of Agricultural Technology with a diploma in Field Crops and Livestock Livestock Production and Management, Management, May 28, 1987. Guests during the week with the Sam Cawkers of Scugog Point Rd., were: Artlur and Carroll Cawker of Sudbury...luncheon guests on Monday Monday , before retiming home after the Cawker Reunion. Russell and Edda Bowman of St. Christopher Beach, were dinner gueets on Wed. evening, and enjoyed the exciting Blue Jay - Cleveland Indians baseball game on T.V. - then on Sunday evening son Ralph, friend Diane Riccio and Jacob of Scarborough, were guests. Family Reaalea Norm and Bernice Mairs of Neetleton, "hosted" the Mairs family family reunion on Sunday, with thirty- eight relatives on hand to enjoy the festive occasion. Due to a rainy day the get-to-gether was held inside, but it didn't damage their spirits to any extent..as all present had a great time visiting and socializing. A bountiful luncheon with many tempting dishes to choose from...made the day "special." Caesarea Community Church Despite poor weather, the special open air family service was held in Putsey Park at 10 a.m. with a nice number attending. Some were dressed in rainwear while others were holding umbrellas. Due to the thoughtfulness of Mr. Albert Putsey...who does a lot of good in the Caesarea community.. .on Saturday, he arranged a shelter and a speaking speaking system in Putsey Park...for the special family service on Sunday. In this way the speakers and musicians musicians were enclosed when the rain came down...so that the service could be continued. What a fine idea!' It was much appreciated by those present 1 Rev. Dr. W.H. Crawford conducted conducted the service and Student Minister Theo Hoekstra presented the timely message. Special music was provided by Tammie & Paul Chilco and John Blair...using an electric piano. Rev. Crawford closed closed the service with selected verses. Trust the Caesarea people will try an outdoor service again.,.sounds popular! Neetleton United Sunday, August 2,11:15a.m. saw an average congregation...with Ralph and Leona Sadler greeting at the door. Rev. Dale Davis presented a significant message - and the • volunteer ladies choir proved enjoyable, enjoyable, handling "Onward Joyful Christians" with ease...organist Gwen Malcolm leading. The children's theme was meaningful. The visiting ladies - Mrs. Sinclair and Mrs. Wilson were warmly welcomed by the Minister. Glad to hear that our good friend George Bowers is home from Port Perry Community Hospital and feeling feeling a whole lot better. Our warmest wishes to him!
