NEWCASTLE VILLAGE BAKERY 987-4439 Something To Think About GARY CONWAY - Funeral Director FUNERAL VAULT WATCH FOR THE OPENING 77 King Street East Bowmanville 623-4466 The funeral vault Is a container container which encloses the coffin when it is placed In the ground. Usually these are made of steel, fiber glass, or concrete - materials resistant to decay. While they may not offer permanent protection for the coffin and the body, they do prolong their maintenance. Although not required by law, use of a burial vault Is recommended. In fact, a vault or other type of coffin enclosure may be required by many cemeteries. This Is because a container - which can itself survive Indefinitely - keeps the ground from collapsing as the coffin gradually disintegrates. This can prove quite unattractive, and anybody who is interested In keeping a gravesile in good condition, would be wise to consider the use of a funeral vault. In planning ahead for a funeral, this is one of the many choices you will have to make. We will be happy to discuss these matters with you at your leisure.
