On Thursday went on our bus trip to Prince Prince Edward County. Forty- three were picked up at Campbcllcroft and Port Hope on our way. Our first stop was to pick up Mrs. Irene Hagerntan at Highway Highway 33 and 63 junction as she was to be our guide. We loured the Macaulay Mountain Mountain and Bird House City. There were ninety-two houses representing various various reproductions of historic historic buildings in Prince Edward County. Mrs. Hagerman pointed out various various places in and around Picton, then on to the Mariner's Memorial Museum. I almost forgot, we ate the lunch we had taken with us at the Lake on the Mountain. Mountain. We also called and bought cheese at Black River factory. We visited Sand Bank provincial park and found the sand and hot sun more than we expected. By this time everyone was so thirsty and we had failed to find any water. Finally, Mrs. Hagerman took us to her daughter's and we enjoyed enjoyed a cool drink with ice which we appreciated very much. We stopped at Bloomfield to shop but found to our dismay most of the shops closed. We went onto Wellington where we enjoyed a salad supper at their church and then back home again. On Sunday, Confirmation services were held at Per- rytown church when Bishop Findlay of Bowmanvillc confirmed Chris Good, Jason Wooded -and Kerri Beatty (Mrs. J. Beatty). An outdoor service was held at Mr. and Mrs. Robert Robinson's home near Highway 28. Rev. Sedgwick conducted the service. The Garden Hill choir sang. The scripture was taken from Galatians 2:11-14, Matthew 5:43-48. Paul rebukes Peter at Antiosh. Rev Sedgwick spoke of the Berlin Wall built after the second World War when too many refugees refugees were leaving East Germany for the West. We should have compassion and love for our enemies. ONTARIO BALL HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIPS--The Darlington Arena will be the location of the A Division Championships of the Ontario Ball Hockey Association. Association. The games will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the arena, with the championship game slated for Sunday afternoon at four p.m. A dozen teams from as far away as Chatham, Windsor, Hearst, and Kingston will be in the competition. The local team will be the Hampton Pizza Raiders which plays its first game on Friday evening at seven p.m. and would, no doubt, appreciate some support from the spectators.
