Revision ol voters' lists for Ontario's 34th provincial provincial general election will take place between August 20 and September 9. Qualified electors who do not receive Form 301 or whose names are not on the list of electors may have their names added during the revision period up to and including the day preceding preceding election day. In a Shell Full Serve Mystery Shopper Evaluation, Glenn Murdoch, received a score of 92%, the highest the stop has ever received. The evaluation forms are sent to select customers who then go to a Shell station and rate the employee who serves them. The customer then sends the evaluation form back to Shell, who in turn notify the station of the employees rating. Glenn is seen above with Kris Wright. Legion Picnic Race Results Rotary President Harvey Partner takes a turn at the breathalizer machine during the club's recent tour of the 16 Division Police Station on Martin Road in Bowmanville. Mr. Partner passed with flying colours and took the rest of the tour which included a look at the station's exercise room and holding cell. Bowmanville Rotarians toured the police station on Thursday, August 20. HAYDON Mr. and Mrs. Weir Swain and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ashton went to Peterborough Peterborough Monday afternoon to visit Mr. and Mrs. Lou Ashton. Mr. and Mrs. Alf (Jean) . Garrard and Lori went Thursday afternoon to spend a couple of days in the Ottawa area. They took a bus trip and saw "The Changing of the Guard" along with a scenic tour of Ottawa. Mr. Guy Kennedy and Miss Jane Kinlin, of Oshawa, were Friday evening evening guests with Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Kennedy. Mr. Kalvin Kennedy was a Sunday dinner guest with Cecil and Norma Kennedy amd family. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Campbell, of Orono, were Sunday evening callers with the C. Kennedy family. The Legion Picnic was held at Tyrone Park on August August 23 and the day was a success with a variety of races and contests. In the racing division for girls age 7-9 Melissa Hughes placed first and Annette Murray second. The boys' 7- 9 was won by Jeff Hughes Obituary Archie Warden Whitmee The death of Archie Warden Warden Whitmee, aged 83 , oc- cured suddenly on Saturday, Saturday, August 1, 1987, at Hillsdale Manor, Oshawa. Son of the late Robert and Mabel Whitmee, he was born in Kent, England, and educated in Bowmanville. He was married to the late Evelyn Payne, February 22, 1926. A self employed carpenter for 45 years, he had been retired retired 18 years. He was an avid gardener and a member member of the Garden Club of. Oshawa. A former resident of Newcastle Newcastle and of 16 Larry Avenue, Avenue, Oshawa, he had resided resided at Hillsdale two weeks. Surviving are his family Dorothy (Mrs. Garnet Arn- burg), Grace (Mrs. Sid Los- combe), Florence (Mrs. Lea Halcomb), a son Ozzie and daughter-in-law Jean. He was predeceased by a sister Mrs. Elsie Kelly. Funeral services were held at the Morris Funeral Chapel, Chapel, Bowmanville on Tuesday. Tuesday. The Reverend R. Fellows Fellows officiated. Annette Welter took the ladies' 21-30 with Shelly Murdock coming second. Brad James placed first in the men's 21-30 division. Cecile Bowers came first in the ladies' 31 and over and Trudy Catherwood was second. second. Dave Barlow won the same divsion for the men, Wayne Paeden came in second. second. In the men's 41 and over race Alec Walters and Art Sheenan came in first and second. Nyhl Sheehan won the ^omen's division and Olive iWalters'was second. In the .whbdlbafrow racé Angie Paeden'ahd her partner partner Mark Stephen won the event for 16 and under. The sack race was won by Mark Stephen for the 0 to 8 age group and George Evans won the 9 to 16 division. Vicki Stephen and Wayne Paeden won the three legged legged race for. the 17 and over group. Candice Barlow and Jason Edmonson both ate their fill to win the Pie Eating Eating Contest for the 16 and under division. While Lyn Coggan and Alec Waters won the Egg Throwing Contest Contest in the 17 and over category. category.
