OBITUARY The death of Charles Morgan Morgan Lunney in his 78th year occurred at Memorial Hospital Hospital Bowmanville on August 30, 1987 after an illnes of several months. Morgan was born in Bowmanville, Bowmanville, April 19,1910, the son of Clinton Charles Lunney Lunney and Alice Murdoff. Morgan Morgan was educated in Bowmanville Bowmanville schools where he. was active in sports and the Bowmanville Junior Hockey Team. After graduation he was employed at R.M. Mitchell Drugs in (Bowmanville, and •later for a number of years at L.H. Brown Drugs in Toronto. Toronto. Deciding on a change of occupation Tie secured a postion with Loblaws accounting accounting department where he remained until his retirement retirement in 1973. He was a member of the Twenty-five Year Club of Loblaws. He was married to Helen Holt of Toronto on October 3,1942. While in Toronto he attended the Humber Valley; United Church. Continuing his interest in sports he was a member of High Park- Curling Club of which he was president in 1967-1968. In summer months he was a lawn bowler at the same club. Following his retirement they moved to 80 Prospect Street, Bowmanville and both Morgan and his wife took part in five pin bowling, lawn bowling in Bowmanville Bowmanville and curling here and in Oshawa. Morgan took a keen interest in the affairs of his native town of Bowmanville and expressed his opinions on these topics in letters to the Editor of the Canadian Statesman, which were followed followed by many readers. He was a member of the Board of Stewards of St. Paul's United Church and a faithful canvasser for the Blind and Red Cross, two organizations organizations he strongly supported. supported. Morgan was predeceased by two brothers, Bruce and John, and is survived by a brother Roy.
