The church was beautifully decorated for the occasion by Hie St. Thomas More Parish. Our gratitude goes to them. On Tuesday, October 13, the U.C.W. group met in the basement -of Pontypool Church. The minister, Rev. Healhcr Smith, opened the meeting with prayer. Marie Finney chaired as President President and introduced the executive, Sue Kucher, Secretary Secretary and Elaine Grabko, Treasurer. Linda Sytnyk, Vice-President, was unable to attend but has expressed herapproval ol'tlic agenda. The minutes were read by Sue and Elaine gave a brief Treasurer's report. It was decided that the U.C.W. will pay for a sign for the outside of the church, giving the names and times of service. Three main things were discussed in detail. First was the need to change the name of the group to make it more inclusive of the community community rather than restricting restricting it to the church ladies only. We will officially change the name al our December December meeting. Arrangements were made in detail for the Roast Beef Supper on Friday, October 23rd, at the Community Centre and for the November November 14th Bazaar and Craft Sale, also at the Hall.
