He had the spookiest house dm the block. He was realy nice but nobody nobody thought so, because at Halowe'en he made his house look like a graveyard. Then one Hallowe'en a bov went to that house. He got all of the candy because he was the only kid that went there. Two days after, the boy went back. They became really good friends. The boy would go to see him every day after school. Then one day the boy's Mom and Dad decided to move to a different house. When the boy heard this he ran to tell the man, but the man wasn't there, so he waited waited for three hours, but the man still wasn't there, so he waited and waited for three more hours, but he still wasn't home. The next day he had to go to school and on his way home he stopped to see if the man was home, but he wasn't home yet. So the boy waited for three hours, but he still wasn't home yet, so he waited for three more hours but he still wasn't home. The boy almost gave up. The next day he tried one more time. "Hello" said the boy's friend. The boy said "I am going to move, come over to my house tomorrow". tomorrow". "O.K." The boy said "I'll see you to-morrow, bye". The boy told his Mom and Dad that he would be home a little later after school. The boy's Mom and Dad said "O.K.". The boy's Mom said "It's*: time for you to go to - 'VV bed". We have planned our fund-raising for this year and we are in the process of having buttons designed with our school S.A.D.D. logo on them. As soon as these buttons are ready, we will be selling them for $1.00 each. Also planned is an assembly assembly for the entire school to attend in February concerning concerning "Victims of Drinking Drinking and Driving". We will be showing a film concerning real-life incidents about drinking , and driving. As well, we hope to have several several guests from the community community come to talk about their own experiences on this topic, to the students. We also hope to raise funds for a taxi service, for the students, for this year's Formal Formal Dance. Finally, the members of Students Against Drinking and Driving hope that all students, staff and parents continue to take this cause very seriously. The program helps students gain work experience in fields of interest, as well as earn a credit for their diploma. diploma. This gives the participating student many avenues to explore. Co-op Seminar Students better act quickly or they'll miss out on the Co-op seminar that will be held on Wednesday, November 25 in Cobourg. Only 110 students will be allowed allowed lo go, so first come, first served. "Working Today for To morrow" is the title of the seminar. The day's activities activities wil start with a theatre group's presentation presentation of "Working People's Picture Show." Lunch will be held at the Port Hope Legion to be followed by three choices of speakers from a possible45 in different different career fields. The students will be back home in time to go home on their regular bus. ONTARIO GOVERNMENT NOTICE GO Train Extension Study - Whitby to Oshawa As part ol I he GO Train Service Expansion Program, ihe Government ol Ontario is currently extending GO Train service from Pickering lo Whilby. This extension is scheduled for completion in Ihe Fall ol 1988. A study to assess the further extension of GO Train service from Whitby to Oshawa has been initialed In June 198/. Ihe identified roule alternatives for the extension ol service lo Oshawa were received during a series of Public Information Centres. THE STUDY The study to assess the extension of GO Train Service from Whitby into Oshawa is a joint Provincial/Municipal undertaking involving the Ministry ol Transportation. GO Transit and Durham Region. The study is subject to the Environmental Assessment Ac I ol Onlario. Basic alignment and station alternatives have been examined in detail, and the Alternative, as identified in the exhibit, has been recommended as being technically preferred.
