Nichols Motor Record Shutout Shutout Nichols' Motors third league game was played on Saturday, November 7 against Bowmanville Sand and Gravel and ended with a shutout victory. Mike Col- bourne, playing centre for the first time in some years, opened the scoring for Nichols Nichols after taking a pass from Ken Cornish ana skating through the defense then beating the goaltender. Mike scored nis second goal on the same shift when his backhander backhander slipped under the goaltender. Paul Chisholm and Ken Cornish earned assists assists on this goal. Mike scored his 3rd of the game by making a beautiful move at the blue line then beating the goalie after taking a pass from Chris Adams. Mike's 4th of the game again came on the same shift this time Steve Kay and Sean Baumhauer earned assists. Not to be outdone outdone Billy scored his 4th after after racing down the ice to catch up with a Murray Charlana's clearing shot before before it crossed the icing line then wheeling behind the net and stuffing in a backhander. backhander. Hutton Earns Win to Break From Slump The Hutton Transport team played two exhibition games against St. Marys of the CYO and found the going tough. On October 31 the truckers played St. Marys at Darlington Arena with the visitors scoring a 6 - 4 win. The truckers played hard but found that the Oshawa boys were just too strong. Scoring for the truckers truckers were Mark Read with three and Mike Tallotti with one, assists going to Curtis Courneyea and David Drummond. On Monday, November 2, the truckers played St. Marys at Harman Park. This time St. Marys won by a 4 - 0 score. The truckers were missing their No. 1 scorer. Les McCrory and Chad Venot had good scoring chances in the last minutes of the game, but could not hit the mark. On November 7 back in the Bowmanville Arena, the truckers skated to a 6 -1 win over Hydro, Scoring for the truckers were Mark Read three, Mike Tallotti two and Shaun Wolfe with one. The assists went to Shaun Wolfe and Mike Tallotti. Both Robbie Robbins and Steve Sargent were very strong in net. This was a good team effort and the boys should be very proud oftheirplay.
