The organist was Mrs. Gladys Brown. Given in marriage by her father the bride wore a formal formal gown of ivory satin, with the bodice, long sleeves and cathedral train trimmed with French lace and hand sewn seed pearls. The headpiece of white silk flowers and sprays of pearls held a fingertip veil, and she carried a cascade bouquet of dusty rose roses, pearls and ivy. The maid of honor, Angela Barnoski, and the bridesmaids Mary and Kelly Courtney, cousins of the bride and Aranka Potter, Potter, sister-in-law of the bride wore ballroom length gowns of pinky peach with an overlay of cream French lace bodices. Best man was the groom's brother Scott Alldread, and the . ushers were Dennis Mullen, Ron Potter and Albert Albert Van Goor. The groom was attired in pearl gray tails and his attendants in matching tuxedos. A reception and dance was held at Newcastle Town Hall. The bride's mother received the guests in a mint green crepe and chiffon gown, bone accessories accessories and a corsage of cream and pink flowers. The groom's mother wore a pink silk jaqtiard silk gown, white accessories and a cor- ' sage of pink roses. Pamela Jane Zakarow, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Peter Peter Zakarow of Bowman- ville and George Andrew Buckles, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Buckles of Paris, Ontario, Ontario, were united in marriage on Saturday, June 20tn, 1987. The wedding took place in Timothy Eaton Memorial Memorial Church in Toronto. The service was conducted by the Reverend R. ^Vilson. The bride was attended by Sandra Lynn Zakarow, maid of honour and sister of the bride, and bridesmaids Brenda Labron, of Toronto, sister of the groom, and Dr. Miriam Rosenberg, also of Toronto. The best man was Peter Paul Bloeman, of Toronto, and ushers included David Carlton Bellamy, of Toronto, Wayne Clapp, of Niagara Falls and Peter Alexander Paul Zakarow, brother of the bride. Following the service, a reception was held at the Albany Club, of Toronto where Pamela and George enjoyed the company of many family members and good friends. The bride and groom departed for a month long vacation in Europe during which time they travelled travelled through France and Italy. Upon their return, they have been busy with their propective careers: George as a commercial real estate developer in Toronto Toronto and Pamela as a dentist dentist practising with her father father in Oshawa. It's quite easy to pass our school, building on Scugog Street and not really notice it. Or perhaps you've been reading the recently erected portable sign on our front lawn. Has THAT caught your attention? It should, because if you are able to 'read between the lines', you might have noticed something about our school. Something that makes us different. Besides the regular 'sliiff' about sport try-outs and fdj(naments,> we've announced * ; birthdays, anniversaries, and someone from our community going to,heaven, put up on'that sign. Read between the lines yet? Here it Is - we care about others. When someone hurts, we all hurt. When someone has something to be happy about, we're happy with them. Neat eh? We're a small school, (130 students) which can have its drawbacks. But, it's that same smallness that brings us closer together.
