She was in her 70th year. Born in Osaea on the family family farm, she was educated in Port Hope area and Charlelon, Ontario. She was the daughter of Cecil and Gertrude (White) Bebee. Predeceased by her first husband Harold G. Kennedy. Kennedy. On April 11, 1981 she married Charles G. Campbell. Agnes worked at the Ministry of Natural Resources Resources in Orono for 26 years. She had been retired for six years. She was a member of the United Church. Agnes was an avid Kendal Eagles baseball fan and enjoyed her travels to Europe and Australia. A very loving mother and wife she is survived by her husband Charles G. Campbell, children Velda (Mrs. Everett Couvier) and Sheila (Mrs. Stephen Hawse) and three sons, Kenneth, Ralph and Cecil, stepchildren Colin Campbell and Debbie Larose; 18 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. grandchildren. sister Altina (Mrs. B. Jacob Theunis Dejong In his 78th year, Jacob Theunis Dejong died Friday, Friday, December 25, 1987, in Memorial Hospital, Bowmanville Bowmanville following a three week illness. Born at Oosthem, The Netherlands; and educated at Ylst, The Netherlands, he was the son of Hendrik De- Jong and Idskjcn Dykstra. He was married May 19. 1934, to Dorothy Vander Ley. A resident of Newcastle since 1954, he had previously previously resided at Lake Port for two years and at Ylst. He was a carpenter by trade and helped build many of the bridges on majorhighways in the area. A member of Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, he was a longtime member of the Newcastle Library Board, and of the Town of Newcastle Library Board at the Bowmanville Branch. An avid reader, he loved the outdoors and enjoyed growing Dutch potatoes which he shared with others. Surviving arc his wife, sons Henry, John, Tom, Peter and Sierd, daughters Teresa Brereton and Ida Tymchuk, and 15 grandchildren. grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted by the Reverend Zantingh at Maranatha Christian Reformed Church on Monday. The soloist was Albert VanBcllc. Gray occurred suddenly in Oshawa General Hospital, on Thursday, December 10, 1987, in his 49th year. Son of Harold and Ella Gray (deceased), he was born in Woodstock, New Brunswick, and educated at Maple Grove Public School. He was married June 6, 1959 to Marlene L. Cochrane. Cochrane. A resident at R.R. 3, Bowmanville, Bowmanville, Courtice, for 28 years, he had previously resided resided in Maple Grove. A.n employee of General Motors, Osnawa for 32 years, he was also a member of Shady Acres Ball Team, Keene. Left to mourn his passing are his wife Marlene, son Kevin, Kevin, daughter-in-law Wendy, sisters and brothers Marguerite Marguerite Bryans, Gerald Gray, Joan Bromell, and Gary Gray, several nieces and nephews. Pastor David Toop officiated officiated at the funeral services held on Monday, at the Morris Morris Funeral Chapel, Bowmanville. Bowmanville.
