Durham East Legislative Building Queen's Park Toronto, Ontario M7A1A2 Dear Sam: This is in reply to your letter letter dated November 18, 1987, concerning recent applications applications from the Township Township of Manvers with respect to funding assistance for the extensions of the municipal water supply at Janetville and the expansion of the Janetville waste disposal site. Staff have now provid- i ed me with an update of the Ministry's position on the two proposals. Firstly, with respect to the application for assistance for the extension of the water system at Janetville, staff of our Peterborough District Office have been requested to undertake additonal sampling sampling of wells in the community community and prepare a more complete report on hydrogeological hydrogeological conditions. The sug-. gestion that 80 percent of the wells are unfit for human consumption may not be entirely entirely accurate.Although some individual supplies could be best deemed as being being questionable, a more complete report on ground- water conditions in the area will give us a better indication indication of the quality problems, and whether a communal «« 1 « ■> ■■■•: MILD, MEDIUM OR OLD jj§£ Canadian Cheddar .88 ioo g 3.99.
