Goodyear Eagles Eliminate Cobourg by Kevin Anyan The Bowmanville Goodyear Goodyear Eagles demonstrated their superior skill as they eliminated the Cobourg Cougars Cougars in four straight games in the Vern McGregor Division Division semi-final Jr. C. OHA play-offs. Bowmanville was favoured and predicted to defeat the Cougars in this best of seven series in four games. After the game Monday night, the champagne flowed almost as easily as the goals did during the play-offs. Under the scoring leadership of Brian Heard, Chris Dreossi and Brad Cruess, the Eagles outscored the Cougars 41 to 12 during this series.
