Bowmanville, March 9, 1988 13 Centre Provides Individual Diets for Clients Brigade Returns from Olympic Adventure Bowmanville's Active Bodies Aerobics Studio launched a new service last year for clients who want to gain better control of their weight. Active Bodies Diet Centre offers a weight loss program tailored to the individual client, with regular weekly counselling sessions that ensure ensure the dieter is on target. "I've never had so many people notice that I've been on this program," said Terri McCarthy, one of the successful successful participants in this., program. Tèrri explains that she has lost 36 pounds over 14 weeks and attributes her success, success, in part, to the one-on- one',counselling provided by Carol Selby, the owner of Active Active Bodies. "Just having the meeting < and talking to her makes you feel confident that you can succeed," she explains. And she adds that although she has tried many other diet programs, this one has been most effective. x Sandy Luke, who has lost 20 pounds over her 14 weeks in the program, also noted some of the highlights of the Active Bodies Diet Centre in a recent interview. The club's guest speaker was Samuel Kincaid, airport manager of community services at the Oshawa Municipal Airport. His topic for the evening was aviation in Canada and the effects of the government's recent move towards deregulation. Victim Dies Barbara Hogan, a Cour- tice resident, died Saturday night in hospital from injuries injuries sustained in a two vehicle vehicle accident February 26. The 33-year-old woman was alone in her car when she collided with a dump truck on Courtice Road. Slippery Slippery roads were blamed for the accident. She had been listed in critical critical condition at Oshawa General Hospital following the accident. Bowmanville didn't have any athletes competing in the recent Calgary Olym- E ics, but there were two of our citizens taking part in the events.
