Is your child easily distracted? distracted? Is your child hard to discipline? Does your child have a short attention span? Is it difficult for your child to keep up with others? The above questions are just some of many that, if answered answered positively, may be an indication that the child has a learning disability. The Association for Children Children and Adults with Learning Learning Disabilities has launched its public awareness campaign campaign as of February 29. The focal chapter, which covers most of the Durham Region, wants to educate the public about learning disabilities and the various methods of dealing with their impacts. Georgina Watson, who is involved with publicity for the chapter, says that over the last 20 years awareness of learning disabilities has greatly increased. Mrs. Watson says that the indentification of learning disabilities has helped many people to cope and continue to develop. Jake Davis bad his hands full, making some excellent saves to keep the score at one. In the second period, Adam Barraball scored with a quick shot in the corner to get Shoppers on the board. Assists went to Chris Mann who made a nice play in keeping the puck in tne zone. With minutes remaining in the 2nd period, Mike Gusha- lak's hard work along the boards, enabled him to make a long pass to Chris Watson who made no mistake, and put Shoppers in a 2-1 lead. The third period was very wide open with both teams showing their hockey skills. Gregory Koenderman showed the fans a super display display of goaltending as he stopped a flurry of shots from Shoppers big gunners. Late in the period, London Life pulled their goalie for an extra forward, which made for some exciting action around Shoppers goal.
