Bowmanvillc Optimist Club Hosts Annual Car Show Do antique and custom cars interest you? Well you're in luck! This Sunday, August 7th, is the second annual annual Show & Shine East car show presented by the Optimist Optimist Club of Bowmanville Inc. There will be over 100 rods, custom cars, antiques, classics, special interest cars and street machines for public public viewing. The show is set in the beautiful Enniskillen (south) Conservation Area with a children's play centre (swings, jungle gym, etc.), close by. Food will be availa-. ble and there will be a special raffle draw. The show is from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All proceeds will go to various local youth projects. Hazardous Waste to be Taken to Brock The Durham Region will soon be advertising the fact that citizens can dispose of hazardous household waste at the Brock West landfill site off Brock Rd. In a report to regional council, Durham's director of public works, Bill Twelve- trees, noted that Metropolitan Metropolitan Toronto has established a transfer station for hazardous hazardous household refuse at the landfill location. The facility is also available available to serve householders of the Durham Region at no cost to the homeowner.
