Newcastle 987-4442 Yelverton By H. Malcolm This past week at Malco- nia has bordered somewhere between hectic and chaotic depending on the day and time thereof. The reason, if any, was a minor invasion of Corrie's Dutch relatives, Elizabeth Elizabeth and Hank Van Der Deyl of Sandportt Holland who spent the week at Mal- conia. Side trips to the local tourist traps including the C.N. Tower, Harbour Front, Eaton Centre (for the ladies) the Peterborough Lift Locks (the highest in the world in case you didn't know) and finally finally a day at the Mitzi and Bob Pick cottage on Halibur- ton Lake. To add to the confusion confusion we were pleased to have a brief visit as well from Roy, Truus and Karen Werry of Sudbury, and Elizabeth Elizabeth and Louis Nasoao of Mississauga also cousin of Elizabeth. Hank and her brother own a fish packing company in Holland ana ship fresh and frozen fish across Europe with Italy their largest importer. They also have shipped products to Canada but find the distance distance a challenge to provide it in fresh condition. The Van Der Deyls also visited over nite with Hank's first cousin in Toronto. Hank has a good view of Canada from nis 6'5" vantage vantage point. The fact that they both speak fluent English (as well as other languages) made it much easier to entertain entertain them plus their unbridled unbridled interest in all things new to them in Canada. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Malcolm, Jason and Todd spent the week end in St. Thomas and London where Todd played in a hockey tournament, winning three of their five games and the consolation prize. Todd was chosen the 3rd best defense- man in the tourney. Master Jeremy Malcolm spent this past week at a hockey school in Haliburton. Miss Candice Malcolm joined our local tribe in the invasion of the Fick cottage at Haliburton Haliburton where the afternoon was spent boating, water skiing, playing volley-ball and horseshoes, elbow-bending and just plain socializing. Add another dozen or two native Haliburton-ites to the crowd and you have the making of a party. Other members of the family attending attending were Marte Malcolm, Malcolm, Dionne and Daniel, Ms. Mona Malcolm and Ronnie Sharma. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Wyatt and girls of Michigan U.S.A. are currently visiting Julie's relatives- - Mr. ana Mrs. Peter Connolly of Bob- caygeon and Jane and Marte Malcolm and girls of Omemee.
