Bowmanvillc, October 19. 1988 Obituaries Dunreath Clara Walton A highly respected and well known citizen of the area, Dunreath Clara Walton died Saturday, September 17,1988, in Memorial Hospital, Hospital, Bowmanville in her 77th year following a two weeks illness. Born and educated in Newcastle, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dudley. On September September 29,1934 she was married to George Walton. Mrs. Walton was a member member of the Newcastle United Church, the Durham Chapter Chapter #181 of the Eastern Star Order and of the Newcastle Lioness Club. A resident of Newcastle for her entire life she is survived survived by her husband George. - The Reverend Donald Stiles and the Reverend Edward Edward Schamerhorn officiated officiated at the funeral service held Tuesday, at Morris Funeral Chapel, Bowmanville. Pallbearers were Messrs. Don Ferguson, Larry Red- path, Douglas Walton, Murray Murray Walton, Van Van Driel, and Lyn Dudley. Floral tokens were received received in her memory from Newcastle Lions and Lioness Clubs, the Masonic Lodge, order of the Eastern Star, the Liberal Party and the Newcastle Newcastle United Church. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery. i,v,l I eæ m t: Robert James Kinnear Well known and highly respected, Robert James Kinnear, in his 78th year, died at Memorial Hospital, Bowmanville, Ontario on Monday, September 26. He had been ill only one month. Son of Robert James Kinnear Kinnear and Matilda (Barbour) Kinnear, he was born and educated at Tattynure, Northern Ireland. With his parents'and family he came to Canada as a young man and lived at Jolicure, N.B. He was married December 21, 1940 to Elva Burton Fenwick. Fenwick. He served in the Canadian Canadian Army 1939-1945 with the 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess (Princess Louises') spending over four years overseas. After the war he lived in Barrie, Ontario and was employed employed as a foreman at the First Co-Operative Packers. In 1954 he moved to Bowmanville Bowmanville and worked at the Ontario Training School for Boys as a supervisor. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church, a member of the Association of the 8th. Canadian Hussars, and a member of Bowmanville Bowmanville and Newcastle Horticultural Horticultural Societies. His chief interests were his family, church, gardening and helping helping people. He was a volunteer volunteer driver for the Cancer Society and Community Care. Left to mourn his passing are his wife Elva, son Ritson and wife Barbara, Trenton, Ont., daughter Elva and son- in-law Robert Cooper, Bowmanville, Bowmanville, Ont., and three grandchildren, Dianne, La- cia and Amie, four sisters, Sadie (Mrs. John Thomson), Baie Verte, N.B., Matilda (Mrs. Earl Martin) Barrie, Ont., Mary Ann (Mrs. William William MacMillan) Waterloo, Ont., Katharine (Mrs. Ernest Jones) Amherst, N. S. three brothers, Thomas Stellar- ton.N.S. Joseph, Brookdale, N. S., George, Baie Verte, N. B. Also brother, of the late Elizabeth (Mrs. Edward Hacquail) and Isabel (Mrs. Ralpn Siddall). Funeral services were held at the Northcutt Elliott Funeral Chapel, Bowmanville, Bowmanville, with the Reverend Victor Victor Stonehouse officiating, assisted by the Reverend Grant D'Eall and Captain Rick Shirran. Pallbearers were Messrs. Cecil Albin, Allan Canfield, David Cowie, Sam Gust, Ken Hoskin, and Harry Smithson, Many beautiful floral tokens tokens were received in his memory as well as donations to Memorial Hospital, Free Methodist Church, Cancer Society, Arthritis Society and Gideon Bibles. Organizations Organizations contributing were, An- delwood Homes, Canadian Forces Base Trenton, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 178, Edvan Realty, Horticultural Horticultural Society and Women's Institute. / Interment Bowmanville Cemetery.
