Obituary Mary Eleanor Syer 111 approximately one year, Mary Eleanor Syer, died in Memorial Hospital, Bowmanville, Saturday, October October 15,1988. Daughter of George and Ethel Thompson she was born in Cadmus, Cartwright Twsp, and educated at Bowmanville Bowmanville Public and High Schools. She was married to William Bertram Syer, October October 5,1940. She had resided at 67 High Street, Bowmanville Bowmanville 33 years. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Paul's United Church, the United Church auxiliary, the Canadian Cancer Cancer Society, the K Ettes, and of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) of which she was the secretary. Left to mourn her passing are her husband, two sons Duncan and wife Patricia, Cavan; and Rodney and wife Snaron, Dallas, Texas; one grandaughter, and a sister sister Eileen (Mrs. Reg. Rack- ham) Pickering. Funeral services were held at the Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, Bowmanville Bowmanville on Monday with the Reverend Reverend E. Schamerhorn officiating. officiating.
