The Canadians Canadians and North Oshawa went end to end in the first period, with both goalies making excellent saves. Bryan Loweiy got things going, going, scoring his second goal of the year, assisted by Chris McKenzie. Roselle who teaches grade five and six French Immersion. This is her first year here at O.S.P.S. She is originally from Italy, although she grew up in Montreal, Quebec. Her full name is Nancy Scala Roselle. She likes French Immersion schools because she admires the students who are trying to learn two different languages. languages. Her pet peeve is people people who do .not respect each other because this can lead to arguments, bad feelings, or even worse. Her favourite author is Stephen King and her favourite favourite book is 'THE STAND' by Stephen King because the characters come alive as they always do in his novels, according to her. The Stand is the kind of book you can't put down. Her favourite favourite sport is volleyball because it is an active sport. She adm- res the late John F. Kennedy because he did so much in so little time and he had a dream and a vision for his country prior to his assasina- tion. She likes to have plenty of activities in the classroom and she likes to use the Positive Positive Reward system because she finds it works well. During summer vacation she likes reading, shopping, relaxing, doing macramé and drawing. She is presently presently living inuourtice, but she will be moving to Bowman' ville sometime soon. School News In M. Marchand's room the grade six's have beer busy making Christmas presents for their twin students students in Chicoutimi, Quebec. The craft selected was puppies puppies or Snoopys in a tin. They are mode from a standard standard size work glove. Tire Ontario Street Public choir is busy preparing for a series of concerts to be presented presented during the last week of school. The planned performances performances are at Memorial Hospital and at the Stratha- ven Nursing Home on December December 15. On Wednesday, December December 1, our entire school went to Bowmanville Senior to see a theatre presentation called "Les Bûcherons." It consisted of two men from Alberta who portrayed traditional French Canadian lumber camp folk dances, songs, and' activities. They even passed out many sets of spoons in order to teach us how to play them. Overall, it was a fantastic fantastic performance! Last week, we also had our first hot lunch Pizza day and our first of three Young Author's days. As part of the Young Author's day, students students from the entire school are mixed and divided into small groups which are assigned assigned to various members of staff. Everyone brings a story or a picture to share with the group in an informal informal manner. This activity was also a great success.
