Mrs. Sybol Davis had the children come up and help her set up the display of the birth of Jesus while she lit the first advent candle. Mr. Watkins read the first scripture from Luke 4. Mrs.Cheryl Murray lead the story telling for the children about a turtle. The second scripture was read by Mr. Banister IKings 8. The prayer was given by Mr. M. Walker. Mr. J. Peacock spoke on the church. He told of the churches of the area of the past, the church of to-day and the church of the future. We had 10 churches of three denominations in our area after 1880. To-day only two are left in our area. She left for Toronto this morning. Mr. and Mrs. C.Mercer had Betty's brother Stan call on Sunday on his way to Whitby. Mr. and Mrs. J.Peacock had Mark home on Sunday.
