Picking up the pace in the second period, we put the opposition in a big hole when the Bowmanville squad counted two more times. Triggerman f or the Darlington Darlington Auto boys was provided by Les McCrory with a nice end to end rush and another by Les, from Mike Ferguson to complete Les's hat trick. One of the highlights of the period was a nice save at the 4:07 mark by our mighty mite Steve Sargent. Third period action saw Bowmanville win going away when the visitors pumped in five unanswered goals with Clayton Rendell throwing up a stone wall in front of his goal. The final "stats" for the 3rd read like this: Mike Ferguson, from Ryan Brannigan; Aaron Stoker from David Chambers; Chambers; Ryan Brannigan from Les McCrory and the last two, unassisted, by Peter Schoep and David Chambers. Chambers. By and large it was a solid two way effort by the offence offence and the defence which limited the competition to a few dangerous chances.
