ART DISPLAY - It might be well worthwhile soon getting a parking ticket and trekking up to the Town Hall to pay the fine. It would enable citizens to see the magnificent art display of 28 works by 12 local artists that are distributed throughout the hall. Eventually, Eventually, they hope to have 17 artists showing this products products for a period of four months. Better still drop in on a council or committee meeting when you might have more time for admiring the art. You might be in a better mood too. NOT ENOUGH - Last week, we published a photo of several hundred people enjoying public skating at the new Recreation Complex. The picture inspired one of our readers to submit a beef that it was great, but did we know that there is only an hour and a half of public skating per week at Bowmanville and just an hour at Darlington. We certainly didn't know that and suggest that those who want more make their feelings known to Council or Community Services. Services. They may be able to help. We also heard some most complimentary things this week about Lindsay's new sports complex. We'll have to drop in to see it when out that way BASEBALL COACHES - The Editor and his better half just returned from a quick trip to Peterborough on Tuesday in the storm and it sure didn't look like Spring was in the air. The driving was wild, wet and windy. But, before that happened a note on his desk mentioned that the TONBA organization is already at work, lining up baseball coaches for the summer. That's certainly looking ahead. Anyway, should anyone anyone out there be interested in trying to show some young players how the game should be played, contact Terry Donohue at 623-4705 as soon as possible. Thanks.
