Ajax will be the visiting team. Game time is 7:30 p.m. At last report, the Eagles were second in the league standings. PINERIDGE STANDINGS -- The Cobourg Figure Skating Skating Club captured the Boundy Trophy for scoring the most points in the Pineridgc Inter-Club Competition held on the weekend. Oshawa placed second in the points standing while Bowmanvillc and Uxbridge tied for third place. We hope to have more detailed results from the Pineridgc Competition in next week's Statesman. Toros Lose Third Game Dennis Pizzeria Novice Toros enjoyed a weekend at the Campbellford tournament tournament even though they lost the third game against Na- panee 4-1. Audio-Vision Oldtimers Oldtimers were suffering from a bit of jet lag as goalie Kenny Veitch was called on early to make some key saves. Audio-Vision Audio-Vision finally got it going going and handed Rinkles a 5- 1 set back. Audio-Vision's second match of the evening was against Ridgetown Barons from the Chatham area. Audio-Vision Audio-Vision were pumped up for this chippy match and came away with a well deserved deserved 4-1 victory. On Saturday afternoon, Audio-Vision ventured to the Steven Leacock ice palace palace to play Port Dover Old- timers whose record was 1-1 and Audio-Vision were 2-0 in the round robin. Tins match was a nail biter with Port Dover holding a 4-3 lead with less than 3 minutes minutes to play when Audio- Vision came to life and scored 3 tallies to take a 6-4 victory. On Sunday morning, Audio-Vision Audio-Vision with a 3-0 record crossed divisions to play Port Colbome Sailors who had a 2-1 record. Audio- Vision came out flying and scored early and Port Col- borne never seemed to get on track as Audio-Vision nipped Port Colborne 6-2. This win put Audio-Vision in the championship round. On Sunday afternoon, Audio-Vision nad to play Rinkles Oldtimers who came back to beat Anciens Mariners Mariners Oldtimers in overtime. The Audio-Vision squad who were playing great hockey were not going to be denied the Budweiser Division Division Championship as they hammered the Rinkles Old- timers 8-2. This was a real team effort with every forward forward scoring at least one goal. Art Hester was superb in goal. Our defense corps of Warren Townsley, Bob Debt Debt ois and Grant FI in toff who usually play forward, and the over-versatile Hugh German German played inspired hockey. We opened the series Saturday Saturday morning against the Cavan Blazers from Betha-. ny with a 4-3 win. Joe Batson Batson took a pass from Bob De- blois and fired a hard drive from forty feet. Bob Marjerrison set George up with perfect passes as George swept in from the left hoards. Bob Marjerrison finished the scoring with a bullet drive from thirty feet on a tough angle. On Saturday afternoon, we met Charlie's Angels from Montreal and defeated them 4-2. The game was close and hard checking with Bowmanville having one goal disallowed and in the final seconds of the game ringing the puck off the goal post. Collin Taggart and Brian Campbell assisted Ryan on the third goal. On Saturday, February 11 Bowmanville was down 2-0 at the end of the second period. We spectators kept hoping for a comeback but it wasn't our day to win. Jason Crosbie scored our only goal assisted by Steve deBlois. Red Wings defeated us 4-1. So it was back to Children's Children's Arena on Sunday. This was a very fast, hard checking game and Bowmanville Bowmanville knew from the start that they had to play, tough to win as Oshawa had once again brought other players up from other teams. Their tactics however didn't pay off as Bowmanville Bowmanville never let up and won the game 4-1. Ryan Robinson and Collin Collin Taggart were Bowman- ville's goal scorers - Ryan got 3 goals and Collin got 1. Assist getters were Jason Crosbie, Brian Campbell and Gary Adams. Bob Marjerrison Marjerrison opened the scoring with a drive from the slot. Bob then set up Sandy McDonald in the crease. Again solid forechecking by Sandy and George Sainsbu- ry forced a turn over in the Thornhill zone. Bob Marjerrison Marjerrison picked up the loose puck, faked the goal-tender with a deft move and drove the winner home on the short side. Bob Maijerrison had a superb tournament scoring a total of 4 goals and 3 assists assists and was given the M.V.P. award as well as the winning goal award. In the trivia department, it is interesting to note that we had to travel to Ottawa for our first game with the Cavan Blazers. We also played against former Bow- manvillite Del ton Dykstra who scored one of Thornhill's Thornhill's two goals. This is our first tournament tournament win in two years and naturally we are all proud of the team effort.
