FLORIDA #1 GRADE CUCUMBERS SELECTYOUROWN LARGE SIZE Æ7 Totals have been tallied and the March of Dimes are happy to announce that they have surpassed their goal for this year's Ability. Fund Campaign. $515,721.89 was the total amount raised in the 1989 door-to-door can-, vass across Canada. This year's total was $9,000 over target. More than 300 communities communities in Ontario took part in the 1989 campaign. The. March of Dimes would like to thank all the volunteers who worked so diligently to help them reach their goal. Each year the March of Dimes raises money to support support three major services; Mobility Aids; Employment Training; and Independent Living Assistance. These services ensure that an adult with a physical disability disability will receive a needed wheelchair, or be provided with the necessary training to re-enter the work force, or receive attendant care that allows them to live in their own home. Last year 1,514 disabled adults were provided provided with mobility aids such as wheelchairs, canes, walkers walkers and prothesis that assisted assisted them in leading inde r pendent lives. Other services offered by the March of Dimes range from camping and recreation recreation opportunities to a Post- Polio network. The March of Dimes would like to thank volunteers across Ontario for helping them to make these services possible. " The Ontario March of Dimes is working with disabled disabled adults across the province province to ensure that they are given every opportunity to lead a meaningful and independent independent life.
