Two Bowmanville students students received medals for their academic achievements achievements at Durham College's annual convocation on May 27. Kimberly Greenslade, of Bowmanville, was awarded the College Silver Medal as the highest ranking two year graduate in the Business Business Division. Margaret McGorman, also of Bowmanville, was awarded the Silver Medal awarded to the top student in a two or three year program program in the Health Sciences ' division. Other medal winners include include Anne Sanders of St. Williams, Ontario, who won the top student award for 1988-89. She graduated from the two-year Business Program, Data Processing Option. Ms. Sanders won the President's Gold Medal, Governor General's Academic Academic Medal and the Stewart R. Alger Scholarship valued at $500. She had the highest academic standing of all graduating students. Christopher Charlinski, of Oshawa, was awarded the College Silver Medal. She was the highest ranking three year graduate in tech nology. Steve Schoenleber, of Oshawa, received the Silver Silver Medal for the highest ranking two year technology graduate.
