Sam Cureatz presented representatives of the plant with a plaque for providing leadership in commercial and industrial recycling and for achieving a 10 per cent reduction in its waste products. Holds Toy Drive The Durham Region Police Police Fitness Association's annual annual Christmas toy and food drive for the Children's Aid Society, will take place from December 4-8. The Pickering and Darlington Darlington plants of Ontarro Hydro, will be having a' plant gate collection during this week. All employees are asked to drop off a new toy in the boxes provided at the gates. On December 17, The Crann Realty Corporation of Oshawa, will be having a Christmas tree sale from 9:00-5:00. All proceeds from the sale will go to the Children's Children's Aid Society. There have been four drop-off centres set up for the public if they would like to make a donation. Programs Now in Full Swing in Area The annual festive season R.I.D.E. program will begin on November 29, 1989 and run until January 3,1990 in the Counties of Halibur- ton,Victoria, Peterborough and Northumberland. This year, municipal and regional Police Forces across the the Province are joining with the Ontario Provincial Police in a co-operative R.I.D.E. program.
