Xmas Spirit AV Waverley On December 13th the grade 5: classes will be having having parents night and on December-20 December-20 the grade 6 classes classes will be -having a mini concert on Electricity. The primary choir is going to sing at an assembly ana the junior choir will be going to Mamwood Nursing Home to sing Christmas Carols. For Christmas at Waverley Waverley we will be putting a Christmas tree up in the front hallway. All students will be decorating it. We will be having spirit day on December December 21 all students will be wearing Red, Green and White. Also students who are willing to, will put food and toys under the tree for the school - to donate to the Salvation Army. Waverley School sure has the Christmas Spirit. At Waverley, Dodgeball is almost oyer. The students have a choice whether or not they want to join the next house league game which is broomball. Tne volleyball games are coming in January. January. The boys have had their tryouts and the team has been picked. The boys are all practising very hard to try and win this year but to also have fun. The girls' team has not been picked yet but soon will be. Mrs. Purrot and Mrs. Robinson have a hard choice of what 9 girls out of 24 will make the team. We wish the best to the Waverley teams. Go Waverley go! Mrs. Pitt is a very nice teacher. She has been teaching for 15 years and this is ner 4th year at Waverley. Waverley. She now is teaching grade 5. Mrs. Pitt and her class have gone to the Science Science Centre* the Outdoor Centre and are planning to go to the Royal Ontario Museum Museum and the Planetarium. She and her class wash to achieve .student co-operation in an activity centred learning learning environment. Her class is sharing 10'Mexico activity centres with Mrs. Pieken- brock's grade 5 class. In her spare time she enjoys enjoys skiing, reading, skating, doing crafts and going to her cottage on weekends' with her husband and two chib dren. Trinity Church Xmas Meeting The annual Christmas meeting of Trinity United Church Women was held on Tuesday, December 5. The devotional program took place in the sanctuary which was ' beautifully decorated for Christmas. Unit 6 .was in charge of the program and the members members taking part in the service service were introduced by Mrs. Doreen Barrie. The theme chosen for the evening was ^rVhat is Christmas?"
