But, Susan J. Taylor, owner of Bey's Floral Shop, is blooming blooming in her new environment. "For a while, I wondered if I had made a mistake," confides Susa, as she makes up gift baskets in her workroom. workroom. "But, now I love it. The pace is more relaxed. And, working with flowers, gives me a chance to use my eye for colour and symmetry in my arrangements." Susan has filled her shop with the scents and colours of this festive season. In her window is a miniature recreation recreation of an English vil lage, similar to one that might have existed in the era of Charles Dickens and Ebenezer Scrooge "The windows and street lights in the village come on at night," says Susan. "We have people stopping even in cars to take a look." Susan is a native of Whitby Whitby where she now resides with her husband, Fred, and Lions Club Helps Salvation Army at Ch ristmas her daughter, Jane. "I live very close to where I grew up, she says. John Lewis, President of the Bowmanville Lions Club, presented Captain Shirran with a cheque on behalf of the membership.
