Morrish Women's Institute Institute held their December meeting on Tuesday, December December 5th at the Ruth Clarke Community Centre, Port Hope. During the business period conducted by Marion Bamsey, President, reports were heard from the secretary secretary and treasurer and number number of cards sent were listed by friendship convener Mae •Ferguson. The programme was presented by the president, president, who read "The Night before Christmas" "Legend of the Christmas Tree", and "Share the Bird". Seven or eight are right there and the choice bits are cleared in no time, leaving the poorer bits for the little birds. Church service at Wel come United on Sunday, December December 10th was in charge of the Sunday School teachers, teachers, officers and children, assisted assisted by the choir. The choir sang the processional hymn as they entered the choir loft and the opening prayer and hymn were lea by the senior pupils. The whole service was conducted by the children, and the Christmas story was acted in speech and song. The whole Sunday school was on the platform with furniture removed to accommodate them and the manger scene. Throughout the presentation presentation the choir sang the appropriate appropriate carols, and a group in modem dress listened listened while "grandpa" read the timeless story. Following there was practice by junior and senior choirs for the cantata to be held at 7.30 on Saturday,' December 16 conducted by Stephen Sword who used the new instrument already in place for that event.
