The other scorers were Chad Veinot one goal, one assist, Justin Vance one goal and one assist. Jack Laverty and David Vernon a goal each, Les McCrory, Rick Swale and Alex Walcer also picked up assists. The Sub boys played their 3rd game on Sunday. The Sub boys played two men short late in the game when Rob Watson took control control of the puck, and as David David Vernon came out of the penalty box Rob passed to him and he scored the last Sub goal. Tne referees gave Rob a penalty but the Sub boys held on to give Jeff Crawford Crawford the shut-out and a 7 to' 1 win. The next game for the Sub boys was against Checkers. Checkers. The Sub team came out fast, Rob Watson scoring on a set-up from Darren Donohue Donohue with, only 30 seconds gone in the game. Then the Sub boys ran into a penalty problem, allowing Checkers to score 2 power play goals. Checkers scored another g oal early in the 2nd period. ate in the 2nd period Rob notched his 2nd goal of the game. The _ Sub boys came out- strong in the 3rd period but again ran into a penalty problem and could not get the equalizer. The final score would read Checkers 3 and Mr. Sub 2. This was a hard fought, game and the Sub boys would like to congratulate , Checkers on their win for the "A" Championship. They would also like to congratu r late Lange's on winning the "B" Championship and Dyk- stra's for winning the S C" Championship.
