Her news budget follows. On Nov. 30th, the Seniors held their pot luck supper and as a good crowd of about 30 attended, they decided to elect new officers for 1990. Mrs. Pern Thertell is the new president, Mrs. Mae Muldrew, vice-pres., Mrs. Betty Mercer, secretary, and Mrs. Jean White, treasurer. They played euchre and U.N.O. with prizes awarded to winners. This past Thursday, Thursday, they had their Christ mas dinner with the McClean's catering. On Wednesday, the U.C.W. held their general meeting with a pot luck dinner. dinner. Peacock spent a holiday with son Andrew and family and while she was there, another daughter was born to Andrew Andrew and Ingrid, Her name is Astrid Sean Peacock, and she arrived Sept. 15th. When Mrs. Peacock returned returned home, she learned that she had still another grandson, born to son Mark and his wife Linda. He is Aaron William Peacock, born Sept. 14th. Sympathy is extended to families and friends who have suffered the loss of their loved ones, including Fred Brimacombe, Walter- Longyear, Norm Hamill, Mrs. R. Wilson and others. Mr. and Mrs. H.. Quantrill Quantrill entertained Mr. and Mrs. H. Holden, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Quantrill Mrs. J. Middleton recently. Mr. and Mrs. 0. Mercer held a Christmas dinner on Sunday for their family members and Roy Beatty as well. Mr. and Mrs. J. Bark well, Miss E. Carruthers and Mrs. B. Mercer and Mrs. and Mrs. M. White enjoyed a trip to New York a short while ago. Elizabethville W. I. On Tuesday, 12 ladies met at Mrs. Irene Beatty's home for our meeting. Mrs. Beatty presided. After singing singing the Ode and reading the Mary Stewart Collect, the roll call was taken. "Name a woman in politics/' The Motto was "We must defend that which upholds life and law." Minutes were read and approved. It was decided to hold our January meeting a week later, on the 9th and quilt blocks are to be in by then. Mrs. Quantrill had the program and read a paper on seniors. The rest of the meeting was spent on making making tree decorations, a reindeer, reindeer, etc. The meeting closed with carol singing with Betty Betty Mercer at tne piano. Mae Muldrew and Leta McAllister McAllister had the lunch. Think CanadiarT Grade six students at Waverley Public School got a real charge out of displaying their electricity projects that they had been working on for the past month. The projects on display included experiments related to current and static electricity, and inventions.
