Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Nimigon and family, Oshawa, were New Year's ONTARIO HYDRO INFORMATION CENTRE - Ontario Hydro is inviting feedback from the public concerning its plans for coping with Ontario energy needs in the next 25 years. That's why there will be an information centre in Bowmanville next week. The Centre is to be located at the Bowmanville Recreation Complex (Highway Two and Regional Road 57) January January 10, 11 and 12. Hours are from one p.m. to five p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday nights. At the Centre, you will receive a questionnaire to answer answer and staff will be on hand to listen to your ideas and views about the future. Your suggestions will be recorded. You will also receive a 52-page booklet which explains Ontario Hydro's recently-outlined proposal proposal for generating electricity until the early part of the next century. CLOCA OFFERS SLEIGH RIDES - This Sunday, January 7, you're invited to visit the Enniskillen Conservation Conservation Area for an outdoor sleigh ride. Of course, the Enniskillen Enniskillen Conservation Area also includes cross country country ski trails, skating and tobogganing. If you miss your chance for a sleigh ride this Sunday, you can try next Sunday, when the sleigh will be operating during the same time period. To reach the Enniskillen Conservation Conservation Area, take Regional Road 57 north to the Seventh Concession. Then go west to Holt's Rd. and north to the park. WINTER'S HARVEST SHOW - Next Sunday, January January 14, marks the opening of the Visual Arts Centre's sixth annul juried exhibition of crafts. The show features features the work of artisans in clay, glass, metal, fibre or wood. The opening reception takes place between the hours of one p.m. and four p.m. and the show runs until February 4. Also on display at the Visual Arts Centre is an exhibition entitled "Texture and Form". It features the monoprints of Jane Dixon and selections selections from the basket collection of Patrick D. Mono- ghan. BEST FOOT FORWARD SERIES - Next month, the Visual Arts Centre will be hosting a workshop designed designed to help artists who are interested in preparing a portfolio for presentation at galleries or institutions.
