Bowmanville hosted the third of seven f ames. This was to be the est yet of the games played against Markham. Markham Markham scored the first goal in the game and they took the lead until the second period. After 1 minute of play, defenceman defenceman Jason Hoffman passed the puck to Ryan Robinson and set Jeff Mur phy up for the Peewees first goal. Again Markham scored. Warren Bate tied it up with Jason Jackman and Alan McCullough assisting. Markham scored yet another another goal they kept the one goal advantage until the Toros Toros came alive in the third period. The blood started pumping, the sweat pouring and then Jeff Murphy scored two consecutive goals giving him a hat trick. Ryan Robinson Robinson assisted on both goals with the help of Dave "Wen- del" Wyatt and Doug Td" Parkin. Peter Schoep then made a perfect pass to Jason Jackman who fired in for the Toros fifth goal. Rob Harness finished the game off with the last goal, assisted assisted by Chris Hefiernan. The Toros were victorious 6-3. The goaltending has been outstanding all year and both Steve and Byron have been playing excellently for the playoffs. 'On February j 10th,; the, , boys were maybe a bit. too i confident. This was the fourth of seven games and if Bowmanville won they would advance to be 1/4 finals finals and Markham would be out of the playoffs. Unfortunately, Unfortunately, it did not go as planned, 29 seconds into the game Jeff Murphy scored after after Ryan Robinson set it up with a strong pass. Things looked good but it was too early to really tell. The Toros Toros had the lead until 2:16 left in the first and Markham Markham scored. With 14 seconds left in the first period, Markham Markham scored again taking a 2-1 lead. Bowmanville dominated much of the second period, scoring the first two goals on a powerplay. Rob Harness assisted Doug Parkin and then the defensive team of Bruce Harnum and Ryan Robinson passed the puck around to Jason Hoffman, scoring his second goal of the season. The captain of the Markham team came down the ice and scored one unassisted, again the score was tied. With 3:21 left in-- the period, Bruce Harnum took a cross-checking penalty penalty for Bowmanville. Somehow Somehow shorthanded,- Jason Jackman passed to Rob Harness Harness who managed to get in the clear for the third goal. It finally looked like it was over with less than a minute in the game, Markham Markham pulled their goalie. They were shorthanded and they managed to flip one in with just six seconds left in the game. The Toros fans were just going to have to see the boys win at home. February 13/90 was the day they brought it home. The game was full of hard knocks, hard shots and close calls. Few penalties were called and only one goal was scored. It was a good clean hockey game. The first and only goal was scored by Jason Jason Jackman only 1:28 seconds seconds into the game. The Canadian Tire Pee- wee Toros have advanced to 1/4 finals and are scheduled to play Trenton the best of 5 games. Good luck, guys!
