SYNCHRO SWIMMER MAKES CANADIAN FINALS FINALS -- Sophia Sagur, of Bowmanville, has qualified to compete at . the Canadian National Synchronized Swimming Championships held from May 7-12 in Etobicoke. Sophia, who swims for the Oshawa Synchro Synchro Club, was part of the team that qualified second in the Provincial Championships in Ottawa back in February. The winners at the Canadian Championships Championships will become members of the Canadian National team, and will compete internationally next season. OSHAWA HAWKE YES BANTAM FOOTBALL - The Oshawa Hawkeye bantam football team is looking looking for players aged 14-16 and under 180 pounds, to play for their team this season. The Hawkeyes compete compete in the Central Ontario Minor Football League, and begin try-outs in early June. In this game the team finally realized the importance of team work if they were to be successful. This was an incredible season for the "Graham Jug City" Black Hawks as they were undefeated against all novice select teams. They also won four tournaments. In February they claimed the Oshawa Heritage Championship. Championship.
