Mrs. Trew, president, president, opened the meeting and had the devotional part of the meeting on Trees, wherq mentioned in the bible; comparing them to men their good etc. Scripture Scripture was read by Vivian. Mrs. S. Peacock had the program; program; a talk on the parable of the coins about what talents talents we have Jesus teaches the value of the use of the coins. Jesus also condones the few cents that the woman woman gave as her gift at the temple. Not the nig money givers. Mrs. Quantrill read the minutes of the last meeting. meeting. Business was chiefly concerning the strawberry . supper. We are invited to f Welcome tomorrow. Plans were made for a car load. This will be the last meeting until fall. Lunch was served by Mrs. Quantrill. The seniors met as usual on Thursday. On Sunday the Garden Hill Sunday school had most of the service. The children sang, It's a Small World and Mrs. Kennedy superintendent, superintendent, had invited-the Grades 5 and 6 from North'Hope School to give the Trial of Goldilocks which had been put on at the school by the Police Afterwards the awards were given out. Sunday Sunday School is over till fall, as our out door services will be soon starting. In' the afternoon Elizabethville Elizabethville Sunday School held their anniversary. Reverend Reverend Sedgwick conducted the service. The children sang. ' The Rain Came Knocking; Love Love Love, Come in Come in and Sit Down; I Sat in the Tub, with Bethanne Yarema, David Austin and Carrie Fowler singing solo parts in some of the songs. Reverend Sedgwick Sedgwick had brought a timber about five or six feet long and had tied many loops of. binder twine on to it. When he was ready to speak he got down in front of the children and spoke on Jesus and his desciples. He asked what they would do it they had a big job to do like Jesus? One little fellow said he'd leave it alone. Of course Mr. Sedgwick Sedgwick had expected them to say hire or get help. Any way the right answer was finally finally found. He asked two ' i ^little ones to go up and try to lift it; of course they couldn't. Eventually there were about a dozen needed . to lift it before they were able to carry the load around the church. I'm sure ' they won't forget how to get help for a big job. The service service was closed by prayer and lunch was served in the Sunday School room. Many families celebrated Father's Day. Some of them were: Mr. and Mrs. K. Trew had all the members of family family called on Sunday at different different times. Mr. and Mrs. Quantrill also entertained the family at different timés in the day. Mr. and Mrs. O. Mercer had Mr. and Mrs. J. Fnjt, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Provost and family; Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Mercer and family; Mr. and Mrs. Steven Fajt and family, and Roy Beatty for Sunday evening dinner. Mr. and Mrs. C. Mercer had Mr. and Mrs. B. Ter- benche, Darryl and wife; Leighanne and husband; Mr. and Mrs. R. Mercer and Bryan; Mrs. Crombie and boys; Philip Mercer and friend for dinner Sunday afternoon. afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. H.
