A route has now been chosen of challenging their action in the Federal Court of Canada.' Canada.' ! A Solicitor, Mr. R. Vincent Vincent Westwick of Ottawa has been retained, and he will act on behalf of the Lethbridge Division Division of ■R.C.M.P. Veterans' Association Association to challenge the constitutionality' constitutionality' of trie government's government's decision to allow religious symbols to be worn as part of the R.C.M.P. uniform. uniform. 1 The government has removed removed religion from publicly funded institutions as religious religious symbols are offensive to some people. To make an exception exception does not show tolerr ance, but rather, it displays Favouritism of one Religion over others and is, therefore, a violation of our democratic rights. It is not the opponents opponents of turbans who are the discriminators; it is the well- meaning but misguided proponents. proponents. We will assist the Lethbridge Lethbridge R.CiM.P. Veterans with soliciting funds. The financial financial support of all concerned concerned Canadians will make it possible to continue with the court challenge. Sincerely, G.
