On Saturday, August 4, Mrs. Anna Marie Thomson and her mother Mrs. Edith Taylor attended the Parker family reunion held in Mea- ford. Remember our annual flower and vegetable show is this Thursday in Orono United Churcn. Our guest speaker is Andrea Clarke with Topic "Pest Control in the Garden". Doors open to public 7 p.m. Approximately the "Free Trade deals" have done little or nothing to help our smaller smaller industries in this "area. Gilbank has returned home after enjoying enjoying several days with Paul and Carol Webb and family at their trailer at Hammock Trailer Park near Orillia and celebrated grandson Drew's 7th birthday. The Challices were judging judging guests of Port Heme Horticulture Horticulture Society on Monday and judged 16 gardens. Really beautiful ana so colorful! colorful! These were all front gardens and many beautifully beautifully landscaped gardens. The president and family Mr. and Mrs. Statleman were former residents (4 Line Clarke) several years ago and wished to be remembered remembered to their former friends here. Their neighbour directly directly across the road is Farley Mowat well-known author. Port Hope is undergoing very extreme renovations, with several entire building blocks with scaffolding in place.
