Teams of horses carried many of the dignitaries, including Lieutenant Govern or Lincoln Alexander, to the fairgrounds for the open ing ceremony. The Blackstock Nursery School was well represented with this float. After formally opening the Blackstock Fair, Lieutenant Lieutenant Governor Lincoln Alexander visited with the many spectators on the grounds. He stopped to talk with these members of St. John Ambulance who were on duty at the fair.
