The Janetville Jets, a mixed Lobball team from the local area, involving members throughout our Township of Manvers are justifiably proud, and with very good reason. Last week-end, the Jets were in competition with teams from all Ontario, playing in Scar- boro through fair and "foul" weather, six games in all and winning all 6 - the last game vs St. Kitts by a score of 14-2. This now entitles them to play in an international competition next year (1991) in Texas USA. Naturally, this involved raising a lot of cash to finance the trip and already the team are planning planning various fund-raising events. Hopefully, the whole area will get behind the team in their efforts. Hearty congratulations to' all the team members and coach for their cooperative efforts.
