Holiday Gift Guide Supplement of The Canadian Statesman, Wednesday, November 21,1990 17 a Nativity Scene Comes to Life j Christmas Quiz On Friday, Dec. 21, and Saturday, Dec. 22, the "Living Nativity^ will take place once again at St. Paul's United Church on the comer of Silver and Church St. The presentation will start at 7:30 each evening and will last half an hour. There will be approximately approximately 12 people in the scene each evening, for a total of 24 for the two presentations. The only non-living participant will be the Infant Infant Jesus. The doll used for that role belongs to the daughter of Church Secretary Helen Mclnnes. The doll, she said, is weighted and feels like a new baby when it is held in ones arms. Church members will be participating, as well as a few sheep, a lamb, and a donkey. Last year's perfor mances were almost can celled due to inclement weather. It is hoped, Mrs. Mclnnes said, that the weather will be better this year. Instead of checking the Farmer's Almanac Almanac they will "keep faith that it will be nice, Mrs. Mclnnes added. The Living Nativity will be located on the front lawn of St. Paul's United Church and will have a stable with straw bales. To complete the scene, there will be fences to keep the animals from wandering off. Last year, , year, 225 people attended the event on three evenings. That is less than one-half of the previous year's total of 680. No doubt the decline could be attributed to the poor weather. Mrs. Mclnnes said the organizers organizers of this year's event expect expect they will see a larger audience. Gathered here are the cast of last year's Living Na- exciting event again this year at the church on Dec. 21 tivity at St. Paul's United Church. You can see this and 22. 1.
