Barrowclough Congratulations to Mrs. Florence Reeve who celebrated celebrated her 90th birthday on Wednesday, November 21st. The choir sang Happy Birthday Birthday to a new tune and "All in an April Evening," one of her favourite songs. Elizabeth Groeneveld is one of the singers. Welcome United church choir is busy practising for a conert of Christmas music to be held on December 16th at 7:30 at the church there. The after lunch meeting of unit 2 of Welcome UCW will be held at the church, Dec. 12, when the annual white gifts will be received, and the Sunday school's pot luck lunch ana concert will be held after church on December December 23. Joe and Shelley Renaud of Toronto spent part of the week-end with Jean and Murray Payne. Winter birds are making full use of feeders and marking marking their locations for colder days to come. Izen Symons was delighted to see a redheaded redheaded woodpecker at her station last week. This handsome bird is not very plentiful. Neither are pileat- ed woodpeckers, but the Rowlands of Palmo Park have had one making their unusual mathematical holes in tree trunks.
