Most of the University and college college students are home by now enjoying enjoying Mom's cooking and the gift of friends. Welcome home, folks. Two Christmas concerts are coming up this week. On Wednesday Wednesday evening the High School concert concert is at the C.C.P.S. at 7 p.m.. The Cartwright Central Public School will hold its matinee concert concert on Thursday afternoon. You won't be disappointed with these events. On Tuesday, December 11, eighteen ladies assembled at the home of Jean Adams for the annual annual December pot luck dinner of the afternoon unit of the U.C.W. After the delicious dinner the meeting was opened with the sluing sluing of Silent Night accompanied by Grace Hall. Marion Larmer gave the Bible study from Luke 10 about the Marys and Marthas in the world. Marion led in prayer followed by the singing of Christmas Carols. The roll call was answered by Christmas readings or musical numbers. A special visitor from England, Nora Dolan gave a few thoughts about how Christmas is celebrated in England. In the business announcement about a workshop at Ebeneezer Church on Joy to be held in January. The meeting concluded with the singing of more carols and benediction. Irene and Anson Taylor and Bertha McLaughlin had dinner last Sunday with Kathleen and Albert Watts. Many of the local Senior Citizens' group enjoyed a bus tour to Niagara to see the Christmas lights. Twenty-eight members, spouses and friends attended the Untied Church choir party at the home of Marion and Glenn Larmer on Saturday evening beginning with a delicious pot luck dinner, Special guest were Beth and Larry Schryburt of Michigan. Beth was a member of the choir while they lived in this area.
