Newcastle goalie, Paul Winter, turned in a solid performance and recorded his first ever shutout. The Tigers then scored when Chris Watson fed the puck to Greg Hoy who spotted Robert Dorigo in front of the net and Robert Robert one-timed the pass into the net. The Carnation team then notched another goal. The Tigers scored their third goal when Mike McCory let a shot go from the point that Greg Hoy deflected into the net. The Carnation team then connected for their eleventh goal of the game. In the last minute of the game, the Tigers hit for two goals. The first was on a passing play from Chris Watson to Robert Dorigo to Greg Hoy who registered the goal.
