Grace was sung by Lindsey Crowder and Dayna MacLeod before a delicious dinner and served by the members of the Ladies' Curling League. President President Dale VanCamp called on Mark Graham to thank the ladies. The winning team, Peter Duivesteyn, Jill Leach, Tony Duivesteyn and Paul McIntyre, ■ was presented with the Fletcher trophy by Scott Fletcher, his mother Pat and sister Diana. It must be noted that Tony only , began curling a few years ago as i a "mature learner." In second place, with only score differentiation seperating them, was the rink of Dale, Valerie and Janet VanCamp and Lawrence McLaughlin. Third place was taken by Tara Bailey, Dan Harding, Harding, Joy Werry and Terry Taylor with Grant and Heather McLaughlin and Neil and Kathy McLaughlin in fourth. Fifth place was won by Alice and Jim Waldriff and Donna and Dave Kyte with Craig Larmer, Harvey and Joan Graham and Dave Aldred taking sixth place. Dale thanked Pat and her family family for supporting the Bdnspiel in such a generous way. He also announced announced that the Kelly Mixed Spiel will be Monday and Tuesday evenings, March 18 and 19. Many local residents were saddened saddened to learn of the passing of native son, Orville. Stinson suddenly suddenly at his home in Chesley. Sympathy is extended to his wife and family as well as to his many cousins in this area. Sympathy also is extended to Glen and Cecial Malcolm of Edmonton Edmonton on the passing of their daughter Linda. Glen lived on the farm where Linda and Roy Brad- burn live and went to school here. Sorry to learn of the passing of Janet VanCamp's aunt in the Meaford area last week. She and Dale attended the funeral on Friday. Ann Taylor returned home from a most enjoyable Denure Tour holiday in Florida. Many from, the Enniskillen and Bowmanville areas Were fellow travellers on this delightful jaunt into the sunny south. On Wednesday evening, about forty enjoyed the annual Men's dinner at the United Church C.E. Room. Gerald and Joyce Kelly, Elaine Kelly were Friday evening dinner guests of Peter and Elizabeth Peelers and Courtney, along with Rev. Susan Sheen. Susan was a high school teacher for many years here in Blackstock. She now is the Rector of the Millbrook Anglican pastoral charge. There were 16 tables for the weekly euchre party on Tuesday evening. High score went to Doreen Ferguson with the fine score of 91. Other winners were Earla Hill, Gladys Potts, Leslie Johnston, Anne Fee, Ray Gimblett and Jean Fee, low. Draws were won by Albert Watts, Jean Fee, Muriel Butson, Norman Rohrer, Gladys Potts, Ruby Cochrane and Leslie Johnston.
