In the absence of President President Don Oke 1st Vice R.B .Rickard assumed the Presidents chair. O Canada Toast to the Queen and Lions Lions Invocation preceded a self-catered dinner. After dinner a 50/50 draw was held with the prize going to Lion Sam Cureatz. Lion Sam was also the speaker for the evening, recounting recounting some of his experiences experiences from his trip to Lithuania. Lithuania. As Deputy Speaker Of The House last year Lion Sam was invited to Lithuania Lithuania to observe the first free elections that country was holding since they had been annexed to Russia. After many fine slides and interesting interesting stories Lion Sam was thanked by Lion Dave Gibson Gibson and presented with a gift for his enjoyment. The presentation was enjoyed by all present. The nominating committee committee tabled their report and asked for further nominations nominations from the floor. This clears the way for elections at the next regular meeting on April 10th. The new executive executive will take office on July 1st this year. Reports were heard from the chicken barbecue com mittee that May 26th has been set for this year's barbecued barbecued chicken dinner. This meeting will take place in the Lions Den on April 17th.
