"Sparks" attend meetings and learn new skills for a year before graduating to Brownies. Their motto is "I promise to share and be a friend." On Monday, May 27, these Sparks "skipped Salvation Army Brownies Move to Guides up" to Brownies during a ceremony held at Memorial Park Clubhouse in Bowmanville. YWCA News The YWCA is uroviding creative fun and wholesome activities during the summer summer holidays tor children ranging in ages from three to 12 years of age. Summer camps will again be held in Bowmanville Bowmanville at Vincent Massey Public Public School and in Orono at Orono Park. Pre-registration is now being accepted at the Bowmanville Bowmanville YWCA office or you can pre-register by phone. For the teenager, the YWCA is holding a "Leader Training Program." Obituary MARGARET ALICE LEE Margaret Alice Lee of Bowmanville passed away at Strathaven LifeCare Centre Centre Bowmanville on Wednesday Wednesday May. 8, 1991. She was 94 years of age. Born in Ennismore, on June 7, 1896, she was the daughter of the late John Richard Hickson and Margaret Margaret Killen and prior to her marriage was employed at the Horn Brothers Woollen Mill in Lindsay. She was married to the late George Wesley Lee (Wes), on June 29, 1920, at St. Mary's Church Lindsay. She was a member of the C.W.L. in Ennismore, Lindsay Lindsay and Bobcaygeon prior to moving to Bowmanville in 1939 and received her 50- year pin from St. Joseph's C.W.L. on November 9, 1990. Mrs. Lee leaves a son, Francis Lee, and two daughters, daughters, Ruth Canfield and Maiy ( Mrs. Ernest Ra- shotte), all from Bowmanville. Bowmanville. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Anastasia Cayley Cayley (Daisy) of Peterborough. She was predeceased by brothers Richard Leo Hickson Hickson (Leo) and Patrick Joseph Joseph Hickson (Joe) and by sisters Mary Elizabeth O'Donnell, Annie Loretta McCabe, Irene Marie McCabe, Agnes Josephine Hickson (Josie), Julia Ellen Hickson (Nellie) and Veronica Veronica Hickson. The funeral was held May 11,1991, from the Morris Morris Funeral Chapel, Bowmanville Bowmanville to St. Joseph's Church where Requiem Mass was con-celebrated by the Reverend J. Harold Leahy Leahy of St. Joseph's and her nephew, the Reverend Clair L. Hickson of St. Mary's Church, Campbellford wno also gave the Eulogy. Pall bearers were grandsons grandsons Larry Lee and Paul Canfield, godson Gary Conway, Conway, Rob Moher and Alan Lobb. Interment St. Martin's Martin's Cenctory, Ennismore.
