The auto maker claimed that the shutdown of Plant Number Two could happen in 1995. Such a move would cost about 3,800 jobs. General Motors Motors is currently bidding against American plants to build Buick and OldsmobiTe W-cars at the Oshawa Number Two plant. GM stated that, at the competing American plants, union and management work together together in bidding for a manufacturing assignment.
