Karate Club Wins 15 A team fom the Maple Leaf Karate Club in Bowmanville Bowmanville travelled to Gerald- ton, Ontario to compete in the Northern Grandprix, with an estimated 125 com- E etitors from Thunder Bay, onglac, Nakina, and Gérai Gérai dton. The Maple Leaf team brought home a total of 15 medals. Of the winners, Christina Santos won three gold medals, Joelle McLean won two silver, Jessica Veenstra won one gold, one silver and one bronze. Members Rick Garlough, Doug Hartford, Charles Graham Graham and Scott McLean each earned bronze medals. Van Dyk Wins Recent Match Van Dyk realty defeated Hampton 5-1 on June 19.
